QUERCETIN

Research suggests that quercetin can be used as an effective antihistamine, as it restricts mast cell histamine from being released from cells.

Inflammation is the body’s natural response to stress and injuries and usually helps the body heal. However, chronic inflammation can be harmful to the body and may contribute to certain health conditions, quercetin can reduce inflammation.

Quercetin has several effects in many organs including brain, blood vessels, muscle, intestine, liver, kidney, skin, and bone, and influences neurodegenerative diseases, mood disorders, atherosclerosis, and metabolic syndrome, where mast cells are likely involved. In addition, quercetin treatments of neurodegenerative diseases cause modulation of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. The flavonoid quercetin has a variety of functions including the inhibition of histamine release from human basophils and murine mast cells. It has been reported that quercetin inhibits, in a dose-response manner, tryptase and MCP-1. In addition, using RT-PCR, quercetin inhibits the transcription of histidine decarboxylase, the enzyme responsible for the generation of histamine from histidine. This data suggest that quercetin is a good candidate for reducing the release of pro-inflammatory mast cell mediators. Quercetin inhibits contact dermatitis and photosensitivity in humans and suppresses ultraviolet irradiation-induced expression of inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, IL8 and TNF in human keratinocytes.

ORGANIC ANTIHISTAMINE

Our organic antihistamine is a noncompetitive H1-antihistamine and also known as a mast cell stabilizer. MAST-CALM blocks histamine receptors and stops the inflammatory effects of histamine and reduces the release of natural substances from different body immune cells that cause an allergic reaction. In Vivo: It inhibits platelet-activating factor-induced accumulation of eosinophils and platelets in the airways and suppress the mechanism of eosinophils by human recombinant cytokines then suppress the influx of eosinophils into the inflammatory site. Inhibits or antagonizes leukotrienes which cause bronchoconstriction. Also inhibits the sympathomimetic activity of the airway caused by drugs or exposure to the allergen. In Vitro: Inhibits the release of allergic mediators such as histamine, PAF, and slow release substance of anaphylaxis l(eukotrienes-C4and D4).
